Downloading quake mods on steam

It requires a sperate maps download and the're compiled into a PAK file. The mod loads up fine when i put the " glquake -game qSlide " commnd to the executable. So my question is how do i get it to look for the maps in the PAK file. Yeah you could extract the files out of the pak if it comes to that. However I would bet that Quake is just not seeing the pak file.

In the id1 folder or in any mod folder, Quake will load pak files in numerical order and stop when it hits the first gap. So for example if you have "pak0. Typically when people use Quake pak files, they have to rename them to make sure they get a continuously numbered set of pak files. So maybe that's the issue here? I would be curious about: what's the name of your maps pak file, what folder are you putting it in, and what other pak files are in that folder?

PAK they're in the the mod "qSlide" folder in the " Do you know of a Third person config file or commands for third person. How do I change that?
