Turning the Mod On. This Guide will help you manually install mods into Civilization 6. First we will need to download some tools to help us along the way. First we will need 7-Zip. They will come in handy later. At the moment Civilization 6 does not have a steam workshop. This means that we will need to find mods on various websites. My two favorite places are Civfanatics and Nexus Mods. This way you don't accidently download a mod for another game.
Nexus Mods is another popular modding website though at the moment it is limited in Civ6 Mods. I suggest saving it into a place that is easy to remember such as your desktop or documents. If you plan on downloading a ton of mods then creating a Civilization 6 Mods folder would be a good idea.
Once the mod is saved right click on it and you will see a little menu come up. Go to Documents 2. Click on my games folder 3.
Click on Civilization VI folder 4. Click on Mods Folder. Right click and then paste the mod into the folder. It should look like this when you are finished. Once the mod is installed simply open up Civilization 6. In the Main Menu click on Additional Content and enable the mod in the list. I have uploaded a mod on Nexus. I tried all these mods alone, to make sure there were no interference.
I'm not the only one with this issue, I've seen one guy with the very same issue with the "Unit Report Screen" mod. My Windows 10 and Civilization 6 are genuine of course, I tried to change several parameters DirectX12, resolution, etc Daedraug , Nov 27, Joined: May 8, Messages: 1, I haven't used all those mods, so I'm not sure if they change anything rather than ui, so you could also check database log in case. Daedraug , Nov 28, Try it with all three mods, in case there is a conflict Even if they use separate luas, if one lua calls on another used by different mod could cause conflict Or does not even one mod work for you?
My suggestion is to add mods one at a time, especially in your case. Add the mod, load the game, check the box If it loads.. While it is easy enough to get Civilization 6 mods working with a copy of the game that has been download through the EGS, deciding which mods to use is a whole different story.
Truly there are an astonishing number of great mods for this real-time strategy title, and whether a fan is playing Civ 6 with friends on Steam or alone, it is definitely worthwhile to spend some time browsing through the options that are available.
